Embracing Nature: The Queens Creek Elementary Green School Initiative for Children's Wellbeing

The Queens Creek Elementary Green School Initiative highlights the importance of connecting children with nature for their well-being and education. Research shows that our affinity for nature is innate, and lack of exposure can lead to issues like depression and attention deficit disorder. Children with direct access to natural settings are better learners, experiencing reduced stress and improved attention spans. Our initiative aims to form an Eco Action Team comprised of students, teachers, and community members to engage in hands-on outdoor learning and gain certifications like PLT Green School and Eco-School USA.
