IEEE 802.1 Allocates CFM OpCodes to IETF for TRILL Implementation

Yesterday, IEEE 802.1 sent a liaison to the IETF informing them of the allocation of OpCodes and TLV Types for CFM (Continuity Fault Management) under 802.1Q to the IETF. These allocations will be utilized in the ongoing drafts for TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links). The document draft-eastlake-iana-cfm-considerations is anticipated to progress and establish the IANA Registry for the allocated identifiers. For further details, refer to the liaison response from IEEE 802.1.
