  1. Good Exercises & Stretches to Do for Back Pain Many people who come in and see a chiropractor in Lincoln NE will need to do some work at home while trying to fight back pain. There are some good exercises for you to consider while trying to eliminate lower back pain, chronic back pain, and so on. Below, the folks from NuSpine Chiropractic have prepared some basic stretches and exercises for you to do from home. 1.Touch Your Toes One of the best things you can do when you wake up and when you go to sleep each night is to bend over and touch your toes. This is a great way to release some of the tension that builds up in your spine throughout the day and night. This is also very easy to do, and can be done in the shower, while you are waiting on your morning coffee, and so on. 2. Walking & Running The worst thing you can do while suffering from back pain is to stop doing your daily exercise. If you haven’t already been routinely walking and/or running, these are great techniques for fighting back pain. If you work on your feet during the day, you might already be getting enough walking in!

  2. 3. Knee to Chest Stretches Knee to chest stretches are great to do more than once a day while you have back pain. Often, lower back pain can be a sign that various parts of the body could be the culprit. Your upper legs and hamstrings can often be one of the reasons that you have lower back pain. Therefore, be sure to stretch them daily while trying to fix back pain from home. 4.Superman Abdominals The superman exercise is very simple and a great way to help stretch your back and keep it properly aligned. To do this exercise, lay down on your stomach. Lift your legs and arms in the air as if you were in the same position as superman flying. The only part of your body touching the ground should be your stomach. Soon, you will feel the work this exercise does on your abdominals. 5. Yoga If you have a condition like scoliosis, then doing yoga could be a great way for you to help naturally straighten up your back without resorting to drastic measures like surgery. When you pair yoga up with seeing a chiropractor and consciously practicing your posture, then you can often avoid chronic back pain from getting worse. Need to See a Chiropractor?
