Kotahitanga emphasizes working together in harmony. Just like singing in unison, group work requires coordination and a focus on the collective effort over individual contributions. This approach should be applied to classroom group projects as well.

Kotahitanga ‘Oneness’ or working together in harmony. We practise kotahitanga when we sing together. We need to be in time and tune with the rest of the group, and we are more concerned about how we sound as a group than individually. This is how we should also work in groups in class.
