  1. The Spiritual Mind Text: Romans 8:6 Verse 1 – “No condemnation” to the spiritual. Verse 2 – Freedom is the result. Verse 4 – Righteousness is fulfilled. Verse 5 – We mind “the things of the spirit.” Verse 6 – Carnal mind vs. Spiritual mind Verses 7-8 – Carnal mind = “enmity” Verses 9-12 – Spiritually minded = life Verse 13 – Put to death fleshly desires = life

  2. The Spiritual Mind Text: Romans 8:6 Therefore, being a Christian: Is “strange” to some (I Pet. 4:4, 15-16) Makes us “peculiar” (Titus 2:14; Deut. 14:2; I Pet. 2:9-10) This is because we have a spiritual mindset. Romans 8:1 – “In Christ” (6:4; Gal. 3:27) Romans 10:17

  3. The Spiritual Mind Text: Romans 8:6 Being spiritually minded is more than just flipping a “mental switch”! The Corinthians and Hebrews had problems with being spiritually minded. (I Cor. 1:10-13, 3:1-7; Heb. 5:12-14) They were encouraged to do better and cultivate the spiritual mind. We can too!

  6. The Spiritual Mind How Spiritual-Mindedness Is Produced I cannot produce the spiritual mind with things that are worldly/carnal! What we put into our minds is what will come out (Matt. 15:18-20). The spiritual mind produces spiritual actions The carnal mind produces carnal actions

  7. The Spiritual Mind How Spiritual-Mindedness Is Produced How much time do we spend in the only source that will produce the spiritual mind? How much time do we spend speaking to the Author of the source of the spiritual mind? (Lk. 18:1; I Thess. 5:17)

  8. “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” Hear The Gospel (Rom. 10:17) Believe In Christ (Jn. 8:24) Repent Of Sins (Lk.13:3) Confess Christ (Rom. 10:10) Be Baptized (I Pet. 3:21) For The Erring Child: Repent (Acts 8:22), Confess (I Jn. 1:9), Pray (Acts 8:22)
