How Do I Get There? • Recruiting is key. • You have to be looking for your next manager when doing your interviews. • When we schedule them we tell them we are looking for management. • Talk about management during the interview don’t bypass it. • Call them while studying in reference to mgmt and ask who they could foresee hiring.

  5. How Do I Get There? (cont’d) • First day of work treat them like a Manager in training. • Have AUM training every week. • You have to guide them. • Leadership 101 (it will help you develop new leaders). • I’ve sent 7 AUMs - 1 is one of my top UMs • 1 is my top AUM and runs satellite branch • 2 will be promoted the first of the year

  6. Do They Know Your Vision? • How can they get to where you want to go if they don’t know where you are going? • Put your vision in front of them constantly! • Have a short term and long term goal and make it attainable for everybody.
