  4. WIZFOLIO : WEB BASED REFERENCE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE URL : http://www.wizfolio.com

INTRODUCTION : • Wizfolio (http://www.wizfolio.com) is an online research tool that provides a simple way to search online bibliographic databases (Pubmed, Ovid etc) and retrieve the references directly into Wizfolio. • WizFolio can easily manage and share all types of information including research papers, patents, documents, books, YouTube videos, web snippets and a lot more.

INTRODUCTION : • Wizfolio provides a wide variety of tools that enable the user to search, save, organize, cite and share bibliographic data. • It reduces multiple steps normally required in managing bibliographic data and research information to a few simple clicks or drag and drop. • WizFolio is a web‐based journal management application using the latest Web 2.0 technology.

  7. WHY USE WIZFOLIO • Wizfolio can save time and effort by automating the storage and management of references and improve your research efficiency. • It can also create bibliographies in a range of styles in your word documents in a matter of seconds.

  8. THE FUNCTION / FEATURE 1) Import (WizAdd) Import bibliographic data directly from over 200 scientific publishers and databases (Ebsco, Ovid, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Proquest, etc) using WizAdd. Also automatically imports free PDFs into your online collection.

  9. 2. Click WizAdd in the • MozillaToolbar • 3. Click Save. It will save into • the ‘Demo’ Folder • 1. Tick box to export citations into Wizfolio

  10. 3 articles selected will be save into the folder

  11. THE FUNCTION / FEATURE • 2) Search • Can search Pubmed, Google Books, YouTube, Bing, Amazon Books within WizFolio.

  12. Pubmed Search 1. Choose Pubmed

  13. Pubmed Search 3. e.g Search Stroke AND children 2. Click Advanced

  14. 4. Highlight 10 first hits (citations) and Drag into Patology Folder

  15. 3) Upload • Can batch upload your PDF's and documents and WizFolio will attempt to get the bibliograhic data.

  16. Click the pdf icon to read the pdf full article

  17. 4) Transfer • Transfer your Bibliography data from Zotero & Mendeley using our new WizImporter. You can also transfer your collection from Endnote & Refworks using RIS files

  18. 5) Cite (WizCite) • Collaborative citing across OS and document formats. Have plugins for MS Word 2003 & 2007 (Windows). Customize your citations on the fly with instant preview. Example

  19. ‘Cite While You Write’ 3) Choose the citation style. Click here. e.g : Vancouver Style 1.Click Wizcite 4.0 5) Click Insert Citation. 2) Position the cursor where you want to insert the citation 4) Choose the Citation to be insert.

  21. ‘Cite While You Write’ 8) Click Insert Citation. 7) Choose the other article citation 9) The Reference will be insert accordingly and automatically sorted

  23. 6) Share • Share your collections with any number of colleagues by simple Drag-n-Drop

  24. Right Click the Folder that you want to share. Click Share Folder

  25. You can set a parameter of the citation/folder to be shared

  26. Click Approve to allow sharing

  27. Drag and drop to your folder. Click your colleague name to see the shared folder

  28. HOW TO REGISTER WIZFOLIO :

  29. Please use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (preferred Internet Browser)

  30. Type URL : http://www.wizfolio.com

  31. Access/login from PPUKM Library Portal (http://lib.hukm.ukm.my) then, click Wizfolio

  32. Pilih Daftar Pengguna baru untuk Pendaftaran Ahli/Akaun Portal yang baru

  33. Portal Perpustakaan PPUKM • Pendaftaran Atas Talian Pilih Pendaftaran Pelajar and Click Daftar Di sini/Sign up here

  34. Portal Perpustakaan PPUKM • Pendaftaran Atas Talian Isi butiran dalam borang atas talian dan Click Hantar Pendaftaran/submit registration

  35. Portal Perpustakaan / Library Portal • Pendaftaran Secara DalamTalian / Online Registration Perpustakaan akan aktifkan akaun anda setelah pendaftaran berjaya .

  36. 1) Click Sign Up Now

  37. 2) Enter your institutional email (e.g xxx@ppukm.ukm.my) 3) Click I don’t have an institutional email if you doesn’t have an UKM official email (gmail, yahoomail etc..) 4) Click Continue

  38. 3) Click I don’t have an institutional email if you doesn’t have an UKM official email (gmail, yahoomail etc..) 4) Enter your personal email 4) Click Continue

  39. 4) Click Agree and Continue registration

  40. 5) Click Confirmation/activation link

  41. To upgrade to UKM Institutional Account, click Subscription within in UKM Campus Range (your department, library etc)

  42. Click Check If eligible for an Institutional account

  43. Click Upgrade
