  6. ‘ENERGY’ DRINKS. • Taurine. • Taurine is an amino acid that your body naturally produces. It helps regulate heartbeat, muscle contractions, and energy levels. Usually your body makes enough that you don’t need to supplement.

  7. ‘ENERGY’ DRINKS. • Sugars. • A tin of Monster Energy contains 54g of sugar. • A tin of Red Bull (a smaller tin) has 28g.

  8. ‘ENERGY’ DRINKS. • Doctors, dieticians and other experts say that a man in good health should only have a maximum of 37.5 grams of added sugar daily. This is 9 teaspoons worth.
