  1. 5 Ways to Know Yourself Better By Writing in Diaries A diary is a private place where you can keep your thoughts, feelings and opinions on everything from work, school and other experiences of your life. In simple words, diaries are books or papers where you can be yourself and express yourself without any fear. Experts believe writing to yourself is a type of expression and helps you in more than one way. The good things that can happen to you if you start writing in the bundle of pages that can be purchased from early education supplies are: 1. Know yourself: Diary writing makes you answer questions and answer them yourself. This process of giving voice to your thoughts would help in inner reasoning and understanding more than one point of view. It helps you to see and acknowledge your true complexity. 2. Express yourself: Expressing yourself is one aspect of diary writing. Few people use simple pictures to express their feelings. Diary happens to be the mirror of your expressions that might be difficult to express and are generally repressed. 3. Help in hard choices: When you face a life challenge, writing in a diary would help you to make a mental note of the options and their implications along with emotional pain attached to each choice. Thus it will be easy to choose. 4. Emotional intimacy: Reading a past entry or the present one would be like going through yourself and help in understanding self better. This way you can develop self intimacy. 5. Productive way of Venting out: Writing down your feelings would help you to vent out your frustration and helplessness in a productive way without hurting others or letting others know. If you don’t have a habit of using a diary, try using one to feel better.
