  2. Animal Fantasy: What are the key features of realistic fiction? Today we will read a story about a girl who only likes to eat certain kinds of food in “Bread and Jam for Frances,” by Russell Hoban.

  3. Listen to “Bread and Jam for Frances” to see how looking at things differently can create changes.

  4. Team Talk • What questions can you ask to find out how Frances changes when she looks at things differently?

  5. Frances’s father likes to eat breakfast because he is fond of eggs. When you are fond of something, you really like it .
