  6. What I do with the contestants: I take four of the high ability math kids twice a week during Math RTI time. We learn a variety of what we can do with fractions. I had them take a pre-test and at the end, a post-test, to see how much they improved.

  21. What I learned: This whole self-selected project has lead me to get to know these students personally. I get to see them grow through learning. It makes me realize that they are striving to become better in math. They seem so passionate learning something out of the ordinary. It’s a challenge for them and I see that they love it.
