  2. Diversity Defined • Characteristics that set you apart from everyone else! • Each student –consisting of different nationalities, religions, social economic status, etc. - should be educated by using a multicultural education system.

  3. Each student must be given the same opportunity to learn. ESOL programs in the schools are mandatory for the students that do not speak English. All Standardized Tests should be given in the language that student speaks at the time of the test. All students in American Schools should learn English. Bilingual Education

  4. Strategies to Reduce the Effects of Racism in my Classroom • Introduce a lot of diverse groups and share different characteristics of each group to create awareness about our likes and differences. • Promote respect and dignity at all times for all people. • Promote and encourage tolerance. • Create a warm environment and use visual aides to show characteristics of unique groups of people.

  5. Learn the differences between my students and get to know them as special individuals. Keep aware of changes in daily personality and mood swings. Form strong bonds of respect and caring for each student. Love and honor all my student’s individual traits. Varying Differences Between My Students
