  1. Physical Therapy Equipment/Software:For those with prosthetic Legs Kyra Alexander

  2. Goal: There is a need for physical therapy for people who have had a leg amputated or lost their leg in a tragic accident. My goal is to find software/Equipment that will help these people get back on their feet and be able to lead the normal lives that they once lived. This is very possible through therapy. They should be able to walk into the facility and feel as though everything was made especially for their needs.

  3. Parallel Bars

  4. Parallel bars are used to help patients regain Range of Motion, Stability and strength. • The bars would be perfect for patients who have lost a leg and now have a prosthetic because they help provide some independence while not fully letting them walk on their own. • Helping a patient walk is difficult for one person because their body weight could be too much for one therapist. These bars would allow the therapist to assess while the patient completes tasks at their own pace. • Cost: $1360 • Where to Buy: MedicalArtsPress.com

  5. MediGraph

  6. MediGraph is a great way to keep the business running! • This software includes documentation, billing and scheduling. • This software is the key to having an organized practice. Being able to have a software that does all of these things makes it easier for patients to come in, get services needed and leave. • Patients can call to schedule appointments and staff can simply type that information into MediGraph. Also billing will be much more organized with a software like this • Monthly Cost: $ 227 • Where to buy: http://www.medigraphsoftware.com/Physical-Therapy-Software-Products/

  7. Ironman Gravity 1000 Inversion Table

  8. People who have had to get their leg amputated have to maintain the strength of their trunk because it has to be able to help them move more efficiently. • The Ironman Gravity 1000 is great for people who need to increase trunk strength because it works the core and also relieves any stress placed on the vertebral discs while doing so. It is designed in a way that helps circulation through the body while using the equipment. • Cost: $150 • Where to Buy: Amazon, Wal-mart or Target

  9. System 4 Pro

  10. The System Pro 4 is a system that helps collect data on the patient in a way that it has never been done before ! • This system is great for neuromuscular testing and rehabilitation. • Uses the idea of isokinetic resistance without harming the person using the system. • What if a patient is trying to get back on their feet after they have had their leg amputated and now has to wear a prosthetic leg? • With this technology, it is easier to monitor what exactly is going on at the joints because all of the data that is collected is objective! It helps to record progress so that you will know if the patient is moving forward in rehab or not. • Cost:$33,995 • Where to Buy: Biodex.com

  11. Gait Trainer 3

  12. Gait is very important for everyday life. People may not realize that their legs and feet are going through phases to help them get from one place to another, but it is a crucial part of life. • When a person gets a prosthetic leg, they essentially have to learn how to walk all over again. To do so, they need equipment like the Gait trainer to help them to get back on their feet. This machine gives audio and visual feedback to help the patient understand what it is the therapist is seeing. • This machine helps measure step length, speed and the amount of weight each leg is bearing. • Cost:$ 8,900 • Where to Buy: Biodex.com

  13. Final Cost • Parallel Bars: $1,360 • MediGraph: $227/month- $2724 for the year • System 4 Pro: $33,995 • Gait Trainer 3: $8,900 • Ironman Gravity 1000 Inversion Table: $150 • Total Cost= 47,129 • Helping people get their lives back= Priceless!
