On August 1, 2008, volunteers from VCR (Volunteer Community Relations) delivered vital supplies to fifty-two families in Kabul. Essentials like bags of flour, rice, beans, and hygiene kits were bundled in blankets and distributed alongside cooking oil. The event also included a joyful make-up party for women, with some receiving beautiful henna designs as a gesture of friendship. Supported by generous donations from back home, this initiative aims to provide much-needed clothing and supplies directly to the most vulnerable Afghan families.

Today we brought clothing and food to fifty-two families. Bags of flour, rice, and beans were bundled with hygiene and first aid kits into blankets and given to the families, along with bottles of cooking oil. The women had a make-up party. Some of us were fortunate enough to have our hands painted with henna, a gesture of friendship.
