Eligibility (review with each lab/center) • Walk-in Tutoring for any Student enrolled in a Class that is Supported by Tutoring • Walk-in Tutoring for all currently enrolled LAMC Students and required tutoring must be a LACCD course • Individual and Group Tutoring are Referred by Instructors through the Faculty Portal or the “Individual Student Referral Form” and Groups may meet at unique times if six or more students commit • One on One Tutoring are Arranged by Coordinators Based on Student Need as Indicated by Referral Forms

Job Summary • Help students to improve their ability to learn and retain discipline specific material as well as to read, write, and think analytically • Provide feedback on student work • Model how to perform each stage of the learning process • Develop tutoring materials • Help other students to develop motivation, effective study habits, self-confidence, responsibilities, and independence

  25. Main Responsibilities • Tutor students • Complete all tutor trainings • Maintain & upkeep records • Make visits to classes promoting tutoring services & resources • Cooperate with other tutors and staff • Promote tutorial services on campus • Perform other duties as assigned
