  1. E-bike Fleet Team

  2. Goal • Our goal is to make ten electric bikes and four charging stations. • Create rental fleet of electric and possibly bicycles.

  3. To Do List • Design and build e-bike prototypes • Design and build the charging stations

  4. Our progress so far, and where we’re going • We have started building the charger. • Disassembled and reassembled the LowBoy. • We built a workbench to help things run more efficiently. • We took apart some regular bikes to learn about all of the parts. • Did a lot of research on the bike parts and the electrical parts in order to learn how to build the ebike.

  5. Things to order • Battery: The most ideal battery would be the Lithium ion battery around 36 volts ideally. I chose this battery because it is the most light weight option and it last the longest. • Throttle: When we order the throttle, we need to make sure that the throttle has a low, medium, and high setting instead of a throttle that just turns the bike on and off. • Motor: The motor we plan on ordering is a Hub motor around 300 watts. • Controller: Is basically the brain of the ebike. It is connected to the motor, battery, and throttle. It takes all of the inputs and decides what should be signaled to them in return. I plan on ordering a 36 volts, 15A controller .
