  2. There are many different sizes of battery interrupters. All have a copper disk at one end and post end on the other for connection to a switch.

  3. General Information About Battery Interrupters • Battery interrupters are more versatile and cheaper than buying switch toys. • Battery interrupters will work with any battery operated object. • Any battery operated toy can be used, however, toys that work in the on mode and have a continuous action work better. The following slides will demonstrate how to connect a battery interrupter to a switch.

  4. Connect switch jack into battery interrupter post.

  5. Remove any one battery from object.

  6. Place copper disc in between the positive end of battery and the connection it makes inside the battery compartment of the object.

  7. When properly inserted the object will only work when switch is activated. The battery compartment door may not fit on anymore due to the battery interrupter wire. Taping over the battery compartment or filing a small hole in the cover are options that can be used to keep the batteries in place.
