Whatis UCAS? • The process by which students apply for undergraduate degree courses in NI, England Scotland & Wales • It covers some but not all foundation degrees • It does not cover courses in the Republic of Ireland – CAO application required • A few universities operate outside the system e.g. St Marys University College Belfast

  5. WorkExperience • Traditionally carried out in January/February, now moved to June 2020 after completion of AS examinations • Compulsory • An important component of the UCAS personal statement and reference • Lack of relevant work experience can result in no offers being received • Queries should be directed to Dr Wilson the Careers Administrator or myself • Time needed to put the documentation in place
