  2. 5 Forms of Energy Electrical - a form of energy carried by moving electrical charges Thermal (heat) - a form of energy related to temperature that is created by the movement of atoms and molecules of matter convection, conduction, radiation Light - visible electromagnetic radiation that travels through a vacuum - @ 186,000 mile per second Sound - a form of energy produced by the vibration of molecules in air, water or other materials - travels in waves Mechanical - energy that an object has as a result of its motion, position, or condition - Kinetic Energy
