Surety Bond & Customs Bond • - Surety, guarantee for project owner/obligee/ bouwheer • - Customs, guarantee for Director of Customs and Tariffs • - Guarantee for Bank Guarantee, guarantee for bank which issues Bank Guarantee to Principal.

The impact of crisis in Indonesia especially during the 4th quarter of 2008  business world & banking industry • Indonesia’s economic growth 6.1% during 2008 and 5.2% in the 4th quarter of 2008 (3.6% lower than the same quarter of the previous year) • Economic crisis caused : - the decreasing of export demands - the increasing of poverty level - the people’s lower purchasing power - receding people’s confidence in the financial sector especially the banking sector - uprising credit risk

  14. MEASURES TAKEN BY ASKRINDO IN DEALING WITH IMPACT OF ECONOMIC CRISIS.

  15. Micro and Small Enterprises’s Credit Guarantee a. KUR Program - To expedite the process of certificate issuance services based on prevailing regulations. - To expedite claim settlement process by KUR executing banks based on prevailing regulations. - To conduct orderly administration supported by computerization to support the implementation of credit program. - To provide employees with educational and training programs on credit guarantee program. - To communicate credit guarantee program to KUR executing banks. - To establish close communication with executing banks to ensure smooth implementation of credit guarantee program. - To do reconciliation on credit guarantee data of Askrindo and data of KUR executing banks.

  16. Other Credit Guarantee Programs- PT Askrindo keeps striving to carry out guarantee process prudently by applying prudent principles - continues to provide prime services to its customers reaching production target at low rate claims.

Middle Market Loan Guarantee - To enhance credit guarantee services while firmly adhering to prudent principles in doing guarantee business. - To implement ‘know your customer’ principle - To conduct careful and complete analysis on the completeness of guarantee application data. - To conduct risk survey and monitoring on the projects that require guarantee. - To limit credit guarantee for Working Capital Credit, which is based on revolving and long term permanent investment. - To limit import based economic sectors and industries which are affected by economic crisis, such as textiles, furniture and electronics. - To prioritize on working capital credit on the basis of working contract ( project financing) - To conduct careful reviews on the renewal application of permanent working capital guarantee.

  18. CREDIT GUARANTEE AND ITS FUNCTION IN ECONOMIC GROWTH

  19. > The micro, small and medium scale businesses are expected to be a driver of national economy as they have well-proven ability to survive during crisis.> The MSMEs contribute to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the amount of Rp. 2.12 trillion, or 53.6% of total GDP of Indonesia, with the total MSME players presently amounting to 49.8 million business units, or 99.99% of total business players in Indonesia (Central Statistics Bureau data), involving 91.8 million workers, or 97.3% of the current entire work force.> The Indonesian Government has been issuing policies which aim at empowering MSMEs role by among others such as issuing KUR program with guarantee scheme for providing MSMEs with easy access to financing or credit from bank.

  20. > Benefits of KUR Guarantee - To provide MSMEs with easy access to financing - To make the real sector grow - To boost national economic growth> KUR Realization

  21. > PT Askrindo had realized credit guarantee (for credit program and non program under Rp. 500 million and medium credit guarantee) in the amount of Rp. 79,499,005 million for 7.644.623 debtors, and the claims paid amounting to Rp. 1.972.697 million, resulting in Rp. 1,157,066 million in premium.> Up to April 2009, PT Askrindo had covered KUR program’s amounting to Rp. 10.6 trillion, higher than the amount recorded in December 2008, which was Rp. 8.528 trillion.>In the first quarter of 2009, PT Askrindo provided indemnity amounting to Rp. 6.7 billion compare Rp. 2.2 billion on 2008. The claims paid Rp. 12.8 billion, a significant increase from the claim recorded in the fourth quarter of 2008, which was Rp. 3.6 billion.
