  3. Introduction In this presentation various appealing features of travel destinations will be discussed with specific focus on physical, social and cultural appeal. Examples of leading destination i.e. UK and developing destination i.e. Brazil has been taken for discussion. Lastly comparison of features has been presented in text table for clear illustration. help@hndassignments.co.uk

Analyzing cultural, social and physical features of destinations Tourism destinations can be broadly divided into: • Leading destination which are established and economically developed with good infrastructure, transport services and tourism industry like hotels, restaurants, leisure services etc. Example, UK, Europe • Developing destinations are emerging places of tourism mainly preferred for its unexplored places and adventures.   5. Cultural features These include cultural and traditional beliefs, rituals, festivals and heritage of destinations. Example, crafts, artifacts, heritage monuments, history of destinations help@hndassignments.co.uk

Cultural features: UK Vs Brazil • UK has rich British culture and architectural heritage which is evident through its museums, palaces, art galleries. • Example, British Museum, Victoria and Albert museum, National Gallery etc to name a few. • Also historical monuments stand for British culture like Kensington Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Stonehenge , Big Ben etc (Tourism Alliance, 2015). • Brazil’s mix of ethnic and modern culture draws tourist’s cultural appeal which is evident from colonial monuments and carnivals. • Example, Rio carnivals attracts nearly 2 million visitors (World Travel and Tourism Council, 2015). • Other places include colonial towns of OuroPreto, Teatro Amazonas, Olinda etc help@hndassignments.co.uk

Social features: UK vs. Brazil • UK’s richness of English lifestyle and social structures appeals tourists worldwide. • Example, the British history and monarchy attracts tourism appeal. • Brazil’s social features include richness of customs, social traditions and languages of indigenous people.   10. Physical feature: UK vs. Brazil • UK has various physical features that appeal tourist interests. These include Island of Great Britain from England, Scotland and Wales. Mountain in Scotland like Ben Nevis, Snowden in Wales etc and coastlines. • Brazil has diverse landscapes like rain forest and coastlines that appeal tourist interests. These include Amazon forest, Amazon river, islands like Fernando de Noronha, Saint Peter and Paul Rocks etc. It has even various ecosystems like Pantanal, Pampas etc (World Travel and Tourism Council, 2015). help@hndassignments.co.uk

  11. Compare features of developing and leading tourist destinations • UK is leading destinations of world in terms of visitor numbers and income generated directly from tourism industry. In 2015 it had nearly 36 million tourists. • UK will have 257 bn GBP tourism industry by 2025, generating almost 3.8 million employability. (Tourism Alliance, 2015). • Brazil is second emerging destinations in S. America with around 5 million tourist visits in 2015. (World Travel and Tourism Council, 2015). • Direct contribution to GDP is 182 bn BRL in 2014 with annual rise expected to 253.4 bn BRL in 2025. help@hndassignments.co.uk

UK is eight largest international tourism destination which reports 3.5 percent of visitor arrivals. • Employment contribution of tourism in Brazil in 2014 was 3.1 percent of total share which is expected to rise by annual rate of 3.4 percent till 2025.   13. Conclusion • Thus it can be concluded that different social, physical and cultural features are responsible to generate tourism interest and attractions of destinations.
