  7. Zoom/Focus Control • Allows the camera person to make loose or wide shots and focus them.

  8. Lens • Sees the image, focuses it and transmits the image in its entirety thru the camera.

  9. Electronic View Finder (EVF) • Indicates what will appear in the field of view of the lens. Should be adjusted to eye level.

  10. Tripod • Adjustable 3-legged stand that allows the camera to stand upright and be fixed to an appropriate height.

  11. Dolly • Wheeled apparatus that allows the camera to move freely.

  21. Inputs • Allow the director to switch between different views.

  22. Director • Although not an actual part of the switcher, the director is the operator and sees that the camera people are doing their job.

  23. Router • Allows the director control of what the viewer sees.

  24. Transition Buttons • Allows the director to control how one input is switched to the next.

  25. Chroma • Used for green screen action by having people or objects appear in front of a computer generated screen.

  31. Shot • The current image that is displayed on a camera screen as seen through the corresponding input.

  32. Color Bars • A television test pattern set as a standard to compare other signals.
