  3. Perpetual eucharistic adoration Why? Jesus is waiting for us in His Sacrament of Love Jesus is truly present in the Eucharistic- Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity! He’s our true treasure

  4. Perpetual eucharistic adoration Why? During Eucharistic Adoration, We answer Jesus’ call to spent one hour with Him We worship Him in His Eucharistic presence We "watch and wait“ We remain "silent" in His Presence

  5. Perpetual eucharistic adoration Why? In adoring Jesus in His Real Presence we learn how to receive Him properly.

  6. Perpetual eucharistic adoration Why? We open ourselves to His Graces - which flows from the Eucharist ... Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. We become who God wants us to be!

  8. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration What is Eucharistic Adoration? Understood simply, it’s adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".

  9. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Pastor Oversees perpetual adoration Has responsibility for the Eucharist in the parish Provides support and encouragement. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration is a lay apostolate. It is lay organized and lay operated.

  10. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Head Coordinator The head coordinator oversees the organization and operation of perpetual Eucharistic adoration.

  11. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Division Leaders (Four Each) The main work of the four division leaders is done during the organizational phase. Each division leader calls the people who have checked off his or her particular time division on the invitation form and finds out the day and hour wanted. Each division leader fills out a schedule for the six hours, seven days a week or 42 hours.

  12. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Division Leaders After perpetual adoration begins, the division leaders assist the head coordinator, as needed. The head coordinator and four division leaders form the core group. The core group members should be recruited before commitment weekend, but they can be recruited during the organization meeting if necessary.

  13. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Prayer Teams Are made up of all the adorers/prayer angels, who have the same hour during the week. There are 24 prayer teams in all, one for each hour of the day. The prayer teams form the foundation of the substitute system.

  14. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Hour Coordinators Are sometimes called "captains.“ There are twenty four hour coordinators, one for each hour of the day. Each hour coordinator is the head of his or her prayer team and is in charge of a block of seven hours.

  15. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE Hour Coordinators The 24 hour coordinators form the backbone of perpetual adoration. They assure that there is at least one adorer present in the chapel at all times.

Perpetual Eucharistic adoration HOUR COORDINATORS/DIVISION LEADERS/HEAD COORDINATORS ============================================================== When an Adorer does not show up for their hour of adoration, please contact the appropriate Hour Coordinator first, then the Divisional Leader second and finally the Head Coordinator until you have reached someone who will send a substitute. Jesus must never be left alone. Please do not leave the chapel until you are sure someone is there to give Honor and Glory to Our Lord for the next full hour. ==============================================================

  20. FIRST FRIDAy adoration EXTENDED WEEKEND Begins on the “First Friday” of each month Adoration starts at 1:00 PM Ends on the following Monday, at 8:00 am “First Friday Extended Weekend Adoration will continue, until PEA has been established at Saint Andrew.
