Deuteronomy 6:1-5 (New King James Version)  1 “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

Deuteronomy 6:1-5 (New King James Version) 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’ 4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

  4. Shema (transliterated) Shema, Yisrael, Adonia, Eloheynu, Adonai, Ehad.  Baruch Shem Kovod Malcutto, Lay OLam, Lay Olam, Vayed.  Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad.

  5. The literal meaning of the “Shema:” Shema---listen, hear, accept Yisrael---Israel, the people of God Adonai---Lord Eloheinu---Our God Echad- One Emphasis: The Oneness of God and the sole worship of the God of Israel!

  6. Verse 4 says, “Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, The Lord is One!”

  7. The Living God cries out to His people, throughout the ages: HEAR! HEAR MY VOICE! FOLLOW MY TEACHNG!

  8. LlSTEN to what the Lord is saying in Deuteronomy 6: 1-2c Verse 1- What should we do? Verse 2a- How shall we accomplish this? Verse 2b- Who shall follow these words? Verse 2c- For how long? Verse 2c- What the benefit?

  9. If we will listen to His voice, He has good in store for us! Deut. 6: 18 Deut. 11: 22-25

  10. Glorious blessings await those who HEAR and OBEY! Deut. 28: 1-9

Deuteronomy 28:1-9 (New King James Version) • Blessings on Obedience  1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. 4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

Deuteronomy 28:1-9 (New King James Version) 5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. 7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8 “The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. 9 “The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.

  13. Obedience begets blessing! Obey- Hebrew- “shama” to hear intelligently, often with the implication of attentiveness, a willingness to listen and obey!

  14. “In the Zone…” Is a Sports term meaning: That an athlete is executing His skills with upmost precision and excellence!

  15. When we HEAR God’s voice & OBEY: WE ARE IN THE ZONE!

  16. He is Here He is here, Hallelujah, He is here, Amen! He is here, Holy Holy, I will bless His name again, He is here, listen closelyHear Him calling out your name, He is here, you can touch HimYou will never be the same!
