  2. PARTNER ORGANISATIONS • KC English • Is a communication and training organisation. We provide language classes, themed volunteering visits and activities. We produce a local community business directory and run a business centre. Originally created by the Point Europa charity which supports our work • Fekete Sereghttp://www.fekete-sereg.hu/en/index.php • Their mission is to give residents of the village possibilities to spend free time by doing useful activities, and they support ‘bottom up’ initiatives of the people living in the village. They have developed new work areas to support older people and have developed long term work with Roma adults.

  3. WHAT IS A SENIOR VOLUNTEERING PROJECT? • A Grundtvig Senior Volunteering Project is a volunteering exchange project between organisations located in two different European countries. They enable senior volunteers (aged 50 and above) to volunteer with a not for profit organisation in another European country for any kind of activity on any topic e.g. history, cooking, language, arts and culture etc. By doing so, the organisations sending or hosting volunteers will create lasting European co-operation through the project.

  4. INFORMATION FROM RITA • Nagyvázsony, 13th September – 5th October 2012 Hungary • 13-16. 09 2012 • Welcoming, get to know each other, the venue, and the programme. Main topic: painting and photography of nature • Sunday excursion to the lake Balaton (our sea) visiting a Galery. • 17-23. 09 2012 • Morning Hungarian language course, afternoon photography and painting workshops. One afternoon meeting with local senior club. Visiting a local roma family who are stringed instrument maker (Violon, doublebass…). • One day of the weekend an excursion to Budapest visiting exposition (optional)

INFORMATION FROM RITA • 24-30. 09 2012 • Morning photography and painting workshops afternoon teaching English in 3 small groups for roma/gipsy children, future senior volunteer who will go to England, and senior of the village. Traditional day (learning folk dance, folk song, make some food together… • One day ECO day Vintage. Meeting with local farmers and Hungarian wine tradition. • Preparation an expo of the workshop. Small expo. • 1-4. 10 2012 • One day excursion to Vienna (optional) • Evaluation of the 3 weeks.
