  3. Flexible, but safe…and efficient! • Schools must be safe for every student while still being flexible enough to meet all their individual needs…

  4. Flexible Future • Ability to easily change, grow, adapt, and improve… Technological change • Modular buildings are highly customizable and are easily upgraded. • Technology is an integral part of life and is changing at a rapid rate.

  5. Flexible Future • The ability to change both inside and outside is important… Movable Walls and tracks, sliding sides, expansions contractions

  6. Flexible Facility – the BIG issues The ability to change square footage would be invaluable… • In aggregate, rural Alaska school buildings consume approximately: • Electricity $14.8 million/year • Heating Fuel $ 7.5 million/year • …that is about 1.2 gallons of fuel per square foot per year.
