  5. Industrial Engineering defined Industrial Engineering is concerned with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify predict, and evaluate the result to be obtained from such systems

Grading Policy • Participation 10% • Failing to achieve 75% of attendance will receive 0 for participation grade • Homework 20% • Homework submission due to 1 day before the following lecture • No delay is accepted • Mid-term Exam 30% • Mid-term exam will be held within Oct 26-30, 2009 • Make-up exam can only be given for hospital treatment reason • Final Exam 40% • No make-up final exam for any circumstance
