  3. What surprised me the most in the movie No End in Sight was definitely the graphics. When you hear about the war you never really can picture what it’s like until you are able to see what is actually going on. No End in Sight gave me something to picture when I think of the war and it was very hard to watch at certain times.

  4. I don’t think the US should plan any interventions anywhere else. I feel as though we should stay focused on our country and no one else's unless we absolutely have to help another country.

  5. Information people should know about the Iraq War. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Even George Bush has now admitted this. However, over the last six years, and still to this day, Bush constantly conflates the two in almost every speech he gives, to the point where in 2003 sixty-nine percent of Americans came to believe that Saddam had been behind the 9/11 attacks. There can be little doubt that the administration used 9/11 to justify the invasion of Iraq, though they had nothing whatsoever to do with each other.

  6. There were several unique aspects of the 2008 election. The election was the first in which an African American was elected President, and the first time a Roman Catholic was elected Vice President (Joe Biden, then-U.S. Senator from Delaware). It was also the first time two sitting senators ran against each other. The 2008 election was the first in 56 years in which neither an incumbent president nor a vice president ran — Bush was barred from seeking a third term by the Twenty-Second Amendment; Dick Cheney chose not to seek the presidency. It was also the first time the Republican Party nominated a woman for Vice President (Sarah Palin, then-Governor of Alaska). Voter turnout for the 2008 election was the highest in at least 40 years.
