How is using the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading Beneficial? • Internet-based assessment tool, K-12 • Precise ability placement for Reading Comprehension tasks (K-2 comprehension placement word lists, 3-12 adaptive) • Access to the PMRN for recording student scores • Links to instructional resources for teachers (PMRN reports, search tool, program specific PD) Polk County Public Schools 2014

Who is Assessed? • All students in grades K-5 are assessed. • FCAT Levels 1 - 3 are assessed in grades 6 – 10. • FCAT Level 1 students who have not met grad requirements in 11/12th grades . • All schools with capacity are encouraged to assess FCAT level 3 students as well. • Some Differentiated Accountability high schools have opted to assess all students.
