  1. What is BIG Assist? A programme for infrastructure organisations to support them in becoming more efficient, effective, and sustainable.

  2. Infrastructure? Organisations that support the work of other organisations/frontline groups: • representing the views of their members to government • helping new initiatives develop • providing advice/information on the policy environment and aspects of running and managing an organisation (including recruiting volunteers and accessing sustainable funding or generating income) • enabling organisations to work together (collaboration and partnership working) Examples of types of organisations eligible for the BIG Assist programme: • CVS’s • Volunteer Centres • Rural Community Councils

  3. Direct Support - topics • Strategy, planning and managing change • Financial sustainability • Innovation, new products and ways of working • Marketing and building strategic relationships • Supporting and developing people & organisational culture
