Each group to whichyoubelong has an influence on yourpersonalidentity… Groups help to defineouridentity by sharing their values and beliefswithus… the values and beliefswepersonallychoose to adopt as a result of interaction and belonging to a group particular group directly influences our actions and behaviors … Task 6: Choose 3 groups withwhichyousharecommon values and beliefs and tell me how belonging to this group and sharing their values and beliefs has influencedyourbehavior.

In ourcommunity, province, country, world, thereexistmany groups and they do not share the same World View A world viewis a collection of values and beliefs about the world that are shared by a group of people in society. These values and beliefs are reflected in the laws and institutions that influence ourpersonality and affect the decisionswemake and the actions wetake.

Worldview Investigation Choose an example from your life experience that illustrates how your values, beliefs, attitudes and / or actions changed upon meeting a new situation, a new group of people or an influential person. It could be something like the experiences you had after joining a team or group in the community, someone during travel in another city, province or country, going to a new school or a new class. Write a 150 (min) word summary outlining the following details; Who did you meet? Where did you meet? How did you meet? When did you meet them? What values of beliefs did you learn from them? How did you learn this? What were your values / beliefs before meeting them? How did learning this change your vales or beliefs?
  15. Review Quiz What belief(s) are present here? What value(s) are demonstrated? Which group(s) share the common value(s)/belief(s)? Identify the actions these groups would or would not take? The group/value/belief/actions demonstrate which specific Worldview?
  16. My WorldView Project 1: Identify 3 strongbeliefsthatyou have. For eachbelief, identify one value associatedwiththatbelief For each value and beliefyou have, identify 3 different groups thatsharethatsamebelief. For each of the three values and beliefsyousharewith the identified groups, identifythreebehaviorsrelated to those values and beliefs. Using magazines, newspapers and/or the internet, find images thatrepresent the threebeliefs, the three values, the 3 groups thatsharethose values and beliefs and the 9 behaviors/ actions thatreflectyourbeliefs / values.
