You always seem to be doing things to make them happy and never what makes you happy. Good or Bad Relationship
love yourself • Caring • Communication (honestly and openly) • Respect • Listening • Do not judge • Sharing decisions • Trusting and supporting • Be yourself • Realistic expectations • Being independent • They drain energy • Jealousy • Put me down (make fun of you) • Want to change me • They take but never give • They never do things you want to do • Bossing you around • Don’t think about your needs • Taking things that are yours • Don’t love yourself How do we identify it? What kind of things should we look at?
If they are in an unhealthy relationship how can they get help? • Start to think about what you are doing wrong in this relationship. Are you allowing the behavior by making them come first? • You can spending time away from that person • Ask for help and surround yourself with good people who want the best for you • If they are a witness to a not so healthy relationship what should they do, should they even do anything? (class discussion) What do you do?
You must get into groups of four and make a video of a bad relationship and a good relationship. • When you show the bad relationship you have to show a way for the person involved in the relationship to get out of the relationship. • Everyonehas to be part of the video. • You must use the information we spoke about in class and include it into the video. • ex: two people are showing a bad friendship where one of them is jealous of the other person hanging out with someone else. • Note that you do nothave to use all the clues and the notes that were discussed in class • You do not need any additional information than the notes from class. • You can find more information on this website but it is not necessary http://www.letstalksantafe.org/index.php/en/family-talks-healthy-relationships Your Turn
