  1. Getting Started #1 Blazes 1. First create your card and icon images This card image should be 226 x 148 pixels. The small icon should be 36 x 23 pixels . Both should be saved as jpg files. The card image is the one that all your club members will see on their App and the small icon is the image that will appear alongside your messages and on the main club directory. Downham Market 2. Now upload your images Log on to the Clubbit Control Centre at www.clubbit.com. You will need your email address and password. (To get a password contact info@clubbit.com.) Now click on the ‘Settings’ tab at the top of the screen. This should open on the ‘setup card’ page. Now scroll down to the ‘Your Images’ section. Click in the ‘Choose File’ box and select the correct image from your computer, for both the small icon and the card. Then click on the green save button. Your images are now saved, but can be changed at anytime, simply by replacing the file with a new image and saving. Designers Tip – keep it simple, use only 2 or 3 colours and bold shapes. However a memorable photograph can also work well. Rounded corners look professional, as does a highlight. It is best to leave the bottom half of the card image clear of detail, as this part will be semi-obscured with the members name and your function buttons. Your icon should be even simpler as it is tiny. Try just one letter or strong graphic shape in a small rectangle. Bright colours look good. No lettering as it will be illegible.

  2. 3. Creating your function buttons Each clubcard on Clubbit has 3 buttons which will provide your club members with a short cut to useful content. Obvious content would be a menu, an event calendar, a list of venues , a price list, a map or a telephone number. Firstly name the buttons. You can do this on the top part of the ‘Settings’ / ‘setup card’ page. Keep it short and simple - bear in mind there is only room for max 30 characters on each button. Secondly choose the colour of the button and the text (the button titles) by clicking on the spaces and selecting from the colour chart. When you save, the big card on this page will show your choice. You can try changing and saving as many times as you like. Then, when you are happy with the colours, as long as your content is hosted on the www, you simply paste the full URL into the box which says ‘link to’. You can check it works by clicking on ‘open link’ button. Now REMEMBER TO SAVE by clicking the green button at the bottom of this page. Blazes Designers Tip – The clubbit buttons are pre-set to a semi-transparent tint of the colour you select. Aim for a strong contrast between the button colour and the button text for maximum legibility eg. if your clubcard is dark, then choose dark button shade to match and make the text white (FFFFFF) or alternatively choose lightish buttons and keep the text black (000000). Have a look at the other clubs on clubbit for inspiration. Designers Tip – Keep the web content simple and remember your members will be accessing it on their phones.
