  2. Filming Techniques Learning Intention • To understand techniques which may improve the quality of our filming. Success Criteria • I can name at least 5 techniques that may improve my filming. • I can present information on my 3 favourite techniques.

  3. Filming Techniques Fist of Five Today we are focusing on Filming Techniques. These tips will help you when recording your Moscars film. Show, using a Fist of Five, how confident you are about making a film using an iPad.

  4. Filming Techniques Taking Notes Take notes to help you remember at least 5 techniques. Remember, • don’t write down every word • make sure you can read your handwriting • choose only relevant information to write down

  7. Filming Techniques Lighting Lighting is very important in film making. Good lighting makes for better quality video. Try to make sure there is enough light in your scene.

  8. Filming Techniques Three-Point Lighting Three main lights can be used to achieve the best light. Key light Fill light Backlight

  9. Filming Techniques DIY Lighting You do not need professional lighting equipment. Desk lamps and torches could be used!

  10. Filming Techniques Sound Recording good sound can turn a good film into a great film. Use an external microphone and get close to your subject to record clear audio.

  11. Filming Techniques Filming with an iPad There are some other things to think about when filming with an iPad.

  12. Filming Techniques Widescreen View The default preview is not what the iPad camera will record. The iPad camera records in widescreen. Double tap the preview to show the widescreen version. Double Tap

  16. Filming Techniques Presentation Format We are going to present our favourite techniques. In your group, create a presentation including at least 3 techniques. You can research and use your own techniques.
