Administration Tool The Administration Tool (Admin Tool) is the security application that allows the SDE and local Districts to manage access to SchoolNet, certain SDE supported web applications and SDE reports. User permissions and application access is managed by assigning User Roles to Users and assigning Usernames to a Person/EDUID. Provided by the Idaho state department of education

Who Can Access? • Superintendent • (provisioned only by SDE) • Superintendent’s Delegate • (provisioned only by SDE) • Technology Director • (provisioned by District Superintendent, Delegate or assigned Tech Director) • Anyone assigned the Admin Tool User role • (legacy role, provisioned only by SDE) Provided by the Idaho state department of education

  4. How to gain access Superintendent & Delegate role Signed Access Authorization Form submitted to the SDE Technology Director Contact District Superintendent and/or Delegate Provided by the Idaho state department of education

  5. Where to access ISEE Portal https://isee.sde.idaho.gov ‘Admin Tool’ link located under ‘My Applications’ on right side of portal page Direct link https://apps.sde.idaho.gov/administration Provided by the Idaho state department of education

Why use the tool Text Box fields Always start to type text and select from drop down list Usernames, NOT Person Names Always use usernames, NEVER person names District/Building level roles There is a difference Schoolnet Roles Teacher role only through ISEE upload SRM Roles Assigned by SDE, with authorization from District user Provided by the Idaho state department of education
