8. Author of the book: Louis Sachar Louis was born in East Meadow, New York on March 20, 1954 and lived there until third grade. He enjoyed school and was a good student, but it wasn't until high school that I really became an avid reader. Louis write every morning, usually for no more than two hours a day.
