  2. PROBLEM In honor of Groundhog Day! A groundhog is also sometimes called a woodchuck. If Taliyah writes the letters in the word ‘woodchuck’ (W,O,O,D,C,H,U,C,K) on slips of paper, puts them in a bag, and randomly chooses one, what is the probability that she selects a letter that is also in the word ‘groundhog’?

  3. Step 1: First I decided to count how many letters are in the word “Woodchuck” and “Groundhog” 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 G R O U N D H O G W O O D C H U C K

  4. Next… The next thing I did was find what letters they have in common. G R O U N D H O G W O O D C H U C K c

  5. Finally… Finally I saw they only Had 5 letters in common so, my answer is: There is 5/9 letters in common…So, She has a 5/9 or 55.5% chance Of pulling out a common letter.
