NURSERY SCHOOL • Itisthefirstlevel in oureducationalsystem.  STRUCTURE • Free and non-compulsoryforallstudents, twoeducationalcycles of threeyearseach of them: - Firstcycle (0–3 yearsold, at nurseryschools), and itis NOT offeredbytheMinistry of Educationforhavingdifficulties in itsimplementation in regular schools. - Secondcycle (3–6 yearsold, at pre-schoolsorprimaryschools), offeredtotally free bytheMinistry of Education and thedifferentSpanishAutonomousCommunities.

  4. PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION AREAS: • «Selfknowledge and personal autonomy». • «Kwnoledge of theschoolenvironment». • «Languages: Communication and performance». BasedontheproposalbytheMinistry of Education, thedifferentAutonomousCommunitieswitheducationalcompetencesofferthedistribution of contents, whichmaydiffer in certainaspects, bylaws and decrees. ANDALUSIA • Selfknowledge and personal autonomy, personal identity, theirbody and theirpartners and dailylife, autonomy and game. • Kwnoledge of theschoolenvironment. Physicalenvironment: elements, relationships and measures. Objects, Approachtonature and Live in society and culture. • Languages: Communication and performance. BodyLanguage , Verbal language and ArtisticLanguage.

  5. PRIMARY EDUCATION PrimaryEducationcomprisessixacademiccourses,fromsixtotwelveyearsold. Theaim of thiseducationallevelistoprovideallchildrenwith a coreeducationwhichfostertheacquisition of basic cultural elements, thelearning of oral expression, reading, writing and arithmeticoperations, as well as theprogressiveautonomy in theirenvironment. STRUCTURE Threecycles of twocourseseach: • FIRST CYCLE (6–8 yearsold) • 1st Primary • 2ndPrimary • SECOND CYCLE (8–10 yearsold) • 3rdPrimary • 4thPrimary • THIRD CYCLE (10–12 yearsold) • 5thPrimary • 6thPrimary

  10. COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION CONTENTS (Andalusianmodel) Secondcycle of SecundaryEducation 4th Secondary CoreSubjects: Theymust be thesame in the whole country. A 50% minimum of theschedule. • Social Science: History • PhysicalEducation • SpanishLanguage and Literature • English • Ethics and CivicEducation • Integrated Project Thisisaninitiationcourse: choice(non-decisive) betweenacademicteaching(initiationtoUpper Post Compulsory) orapplied(initiationtoVocational Training). Thischoicemustbetakenwhenfinishing 3rd Secondary.

COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION CONSIDERATIONS FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION • TheSpanishlanguageorthecoofficiallanguagewillonlyserve as a supportingtool in theprocess of acquisition of theforeignlanguage. • Limitationonthepromotion of CompulsorySecondaryEducationwithfailedsubjects: whichmustnotbeMaths and Spanishlanguageorcoofficiallanguage at thesame time. • Studentswillreceive a StudiesCertificateforthecourseswhenfinishingthefirstcycle(1st-3rd), orfinishing 2nd ifstudentsstart Basic Vocational Training. • FINAL EVALUATION, must be passedtoobtaintheCertificate of SecondaryEducation.

  12. NEW BASIC VOCATIONAL TRAINING CYCLES • Theywillbecompulsoryoffered and free of charge. • Duration: 2 years. • StudentswillaccesswiththeSecondaryTeacherStaff’srecommendation, withtheir legal tutors’ consent, ortheirownconsentifthey are emancipated, agedbetween 15 and 17 yearsold, afterhavingcoursed 3rd Secondary , orexcepcionally 2nd Secondary. • Basic Vocational Training cycleswillguaranteetheadquisition of basiccompetences in permanentlearning, throughtheteaching of SpanishLanguage, Englishlanguage, Social Science, in its case theofficiallanguage and Maths and Scienceappliedto a Personal and LearningContext in a Professional Field.

NEW BASIC VOCATIONAL TRAINING CYCLES 14 Certificateswillbeestablished in Basic Vocational Training: • AdministrationServices. • Electricity and Electronics. • Manufacturing and Instalation. • ComputerStudies and Communications. • Cooking and Catering Trade. • VehiclesMaintenance. • Agriculture and Gardening. • Hairdressing and Aesthetics. • Business Services. • Carpentry and Furniture. • Revamping and buildingMaintenance. • Mending and Alteration of Textile and LeatherArticles. • Upholstery and Drapery. • Glassmaking and Pottery.

  14. VOCATIONAL TRAINING MIDDLE ACCESS: WiththeCertificate in CompulsorySecondaryEducationorequivalentorpassinganAccess Test. STRUCTURE: • Itcomprises a group of vocational training organised in differentprofessionalfieldswhich are organised in professional modules. • Whenfinishingmiddlevocational training youmaygetaccesstoUpper Post ObligatoryEducation, withoutenrrolling in somesubjects, orincorporatingtotheworkingmarketwhenyougetyourCertificate as a Technicianon … (Now, youmaypass a transitioncoursetoaccessto Superior Vocational Training).

  18. VOCATIONAL TRAINING OUR TRAINING AT MIDDLE LEVEL TECHNICIAN ON COMMERCE (1400 HOURS) SECOND COURSE MODULES • Formation in Workplaces (440 hours) (Thisoneisperformedout of school, in enterprises of ourtownorclosertowns and withpermission, out of ourprovince).

VOCATIONAL TRAINING HIGH EDUCATION ACCESS: With a Certificate in Upper Post CompulsoryorpassinganAccess Test (aged 18 yearsold) In SpainHIGHER STUDIES are thefollowing: • Vocational training at Superior level: youget a certificate as a Superior Technicianonyourspeciality. • Vocational training in arts: youget a Certificate as a Superior TechnicianonArts and Design. • Technicianon sport at superior level: youget a certificatewiththesamename. • Officialteaching of languages • Thelaststage at learninglanguages (Advancedlevel) isconsidered at a highor superior level. STRUCTURE: • Itcomprises a group of vocational training organised in differentprofessionalfieldswhich are organised in professional modules. • Whenfinishedyou can getaccesstouniversitywithoutenrrolling in somesubjectsorincorporatingtotheworkingmarket.

  25. UPPER POST COMPULSORY EDUCATION CONSIDERATIONS • TheSpanishlanguageorthecoofficialonewillonlyserve as supportingtools in theacquisitionprocess of theforeignlanguage. Prioritywillbegivento oral comprehension and expression. • Final Evaluationin Upper Post CompulsoryEducation , as well as everysubjectstudied at thislevel, must be passedtoobtaintheCertificate in A-levels. • The final qualificationwill be theaverage of 60% of thequalifications in Upper Post CompulsoryEducation and 40% of thequalifications in the Final Evaluation. Studentswhopasseverysubjectwithoutpassingthe Final evaluationwillreceive a certificateforworking and academicpurposeswhichgivesaccessto Superior Vocational Training (iftherequirementsfortheaccess and admissionforthesecycles are fulfilled) . • Studentswill be assessedoneverycoresubject and twocoresubjectsfromtheoptionalones in any of thetwocourses ( Ifcontinuityisimplied, onlythesubjectcoursedonthesecondyearwill be considered), as well as a specificsubjectcoursed in any of theyearsexceptPhysicalEducationorReligion.

  26. UNIVERSITY ACCESS TO UNIVERSITY: • FromUpper Post CompulsorySecondaryEducation: Collegesmayestablishadmissionprocedures. Access toUniversity Test (PAU) will be removed. • From Superior Vocational Training, Superior Artistic Training and Superior Sport Training: byadmissionprocedures. • Collegeswill decide onthefulfillment of a partorthewholepart of theadmissionprocedures, as well as therecognition of achievements. • Nowadaysyoumayaccessthroughan Access Test forstudentsover 25 yearsold (whichwillbe removed after 2016)
