  2. Lake Balaton is the largest lake in Hungary and in Central Europe. It’s often called the „Hungarian Sea”. The south shore is shallow, the northern is deeper. Average depth is 3-4 meters. The lake has freshwater. The lake has got 50 fishes and a lot of birds can live in its reed. Lake Balaton

  3. Balaton in summer… And in winter… The water in summer is 25-27 degrees. A lot of people go on holiday to lake Balaton. You can go on a boat trip, go sailing, swimming and sunbathe. There are great restaurants and parties. In winter the water freezes. The ice can be 20-30 cm thick, so that you can ice-skate and play ice-hockey.

  4. Tihany Peninsula Badacsony In the north coast there is the Tihany Peninsula with the Abbey of Tihany. There you can find the Echo of Tihany. Badacsony belongs to the most famous wine regions in Hungary. The mountain has a typical shape.

  6. It is the only thermal lake in Europe which has curative effects. The fauna and flora are unique in Lake Hévíz due to the temperature and chemical composition of the water. It is a big tourist center. You can swim in the lake in summer and in winter, too, because its temperature doesn’t go down under 24 degrees. In summer it can be 35 degrees. It is 37,5 meter deep.
