How To Make Buckeyes By Nicole Kiesler
Materials • Butter (softened) • Confectioners sugar • Crunchy peanut butter • Rice Kripes • Spoon • Microwave • Chocolate chips (or butter scotch or white chocolate) • Fridge • Bowl • Hands • Wax paper
Step 1 • Put ½ pound of butter softened into a large bowl
Step 2 • Add two pounds of confectioner sugar into the bowl
Step 3 • Add 40 ounces (4 cups) of crunchy peanut butter into the bowl
Step 4 • Add six cups of Rice Krispies into the bowl
Step 5 • Mix with your hands until blended well
Step 6 • Put wax paper on cookie sheets
Step 7 • Form mixture into small balls and place on cookie sheet
Step 8 • Put cookie sheet into refrigerator to cool for 2 hours
Step 9 • Combine 12 oz of Chocolate chips and two sticks of parafin wax into bowl
Step 10 • Slowly and carefully microwave the chocolate /wax mixture at medium to low level, checking and stirring every 30 seconds until liquid
Step 11 • Dip the balls into the chocolate and place back onto the cookie sheet (keep wax paper on)
Step 12 • Place cookie sheets back into the refrigerator for another 2 hours
Step 13 • Remove from cookie sheets and place into desired containers / plates to store or serve
