  4. The foreign desks network of Promofirenze: Mumbai, Lima, Moscow, Beijing, San Paolo, Tokyo, Casablanca, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Abu Dhabi Providing consultancy and assistance services to companies

  5. Our structure also can count of several direct agreements with foreign partners (Chambers, Associations, Institutions) In this framework Promofirenze signed a co-operation agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Vratsa with the aim of supporting the business exchange within the two areas.

The commercial exchangewithin Bulgaria and the restof the world: The EU collects the 62,9% of the Bulgarian export and provides the 59,8% of the total import; Italy is the second export market and the second importer in absolute, after Germany; Italy is effective in terms of direct investments in Bulgaria: 2 billions €, expected to grow to 4 billions with the accession of ENEL.

The Tuscan economy main figures: • The Tuscan GDP corresponds to the 6,80% of the italian one; • Tuscany is really open to the international markets: Tuscan exports are 7.5% higher then the other Regions average • Fashion and metal working sectors produce the higher turnover, but also other sectors, like jewelry and agrofood are important • The Fashion cluster employs the 9,6% of the Tuscan working force (Italian sector’s average 3,6%); • Important also to mention the turistic and commercial sector: 23.1% of the Region’s turnover • Other sectors: Mechanical industry, furniture, chemical, pharmaceutical, leather, shoes. • Total Tuscan registered companies: 413.922 mostly SMEs

Market opportunities between Bulgaria and Italy Following the market’s figures the main investment could be in the building and construction sector REASONS: Annual growth factor of 6-10%, growing banking allowance or companies, big infrastructures projects (EU and BERS financing) Opportunities for Italian building material products (+20% in 2006 tiles and metal structures for building)

Market opportunities between Bulgaria and Italy /2 Other interesting opportunities in the Automotive sector and spare parts sector(+50% from 2003 to 2007) Agrofood sector(34 millions € in 2006 and +31% on the 2005) Fashion and clothing sector(growing in parallel with the Bulgarian pro capita income) Those are the key sectors for the Florentine and Tuscan economy.
