  18. Faculty Research Forum, 11 June 2010 Staff Questions 1. Clarification as to how many faculty/CIOS project grants a staff member is allowed to have at any one point in time? TWO at any one time. 2. Necessity to have to complete lengthy forms for conference funding? See above. 3. Could the results of the RHD Supervision Survey be distributed widely? Yes. 4. Is the ERA journal ranking listing the convention now? What about new Business Deans’ list? ERA list is convention but for Faculty purposes from 1 July the rule of no disadavantage will be applied – both lists will be used for the time being. 5. What is the status of the ERA going forward (i.e. when will it be updated again)? ERA list will be updated at some future date, and it is likely that opportunities will emerge for universities to have input into its next iteration. 6. More detail on the new Incidental Research Assistance Scheme and it use? See above. 7. Should colleagues be aiming at journals that charge fees to publish in them? Faculty will support colleagues to get work published in all reasonable circumstances (ie where journals impose a fee to finalise publication)
