  5. GOAL: The implementation of actions by local governments that will reduce their disaster risks and move their cities towards disaster resilience and sustainability.

  6. An Unique Opportunity: This is an opportunity for the world’s more than 1 million cities to adopt the ISDR’S urgent goal of becoming disaster resilient as quickly as possible, and to find ways to make it happen.
