  1. 4. How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

  2. This is a picture of Chloe and Joe at one of our locations . You can see Chloe holding the boom mic and Joe holding the camera. These 2 equipment's were our main assets throughout the project. We used the head phones to monitor the sound to make sure we didn’t pick up too much wind cut and also to make sure the sound levels were evenly balanced/ In this frame you can clearly see how we set-up the camera for the shop robbery scene. We extended the boom mic so we could capture a long shot of the scene and still have good sound quality. The mic is very good for dialogue and picks up a lot in its radius. Equipment

  3. Condenser Mic For the voice over, we used the AKG C414 which I had in my home studio. This mic served quite well in recording the voice over because of its high quality recording capability. The fact that we could record bits at home made it easier and quicker because it meant we could do it anytime and any day we wanted to. This is a still frame of kellvin rapping in the Home studio.

  4. Internet For my research I used many sources to gather my information and the internet was a major factor in my research. I used many websites like I used some websites for my research but these 3 are the ones I found most useful http://www.empireonline.com/ We used the internet to find out most of the valuable information in the research and planning stage. http://www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk/ukfilms http://www.imdb.com/country/gb

  5. DaFont is a quick and simple way of downloading new and professional looking font. We used this site to download a font called urban jungle which we used as our main font for the title. We also used the same font on our magazine and poster’s DaFont Font

  6. The media software that I used in the construction of creating my work was Adobe Photoshop CS5. I used this software to edit most of my images also including the magazine and poster. I believe my skills in using Photoshop have improved dramatically since AS. I used this software for my course work in AS Media and AS photography regularly and however now that my skills have developed more since then I have been using Photoshop for my coursework even more than I did in my AS coursework. What I like most about using Photoshop is that you get very professional looking work done easily and quickly. They are many tutorials available for this program which made it easier to find anything that could help with the development of my creative side. Photoshop

  7. Adobe Premier In the editing stage of the process, we used adobe premier Cs5 which is an advanced video editing software. For me it was quite easy to use this software because I had used it quite a lot in my As work and I’ve also been using it to editing my videos outside of college. The main advantage we had with this software was that most of us in the group were confortable with the way the software worked which made it easier for each of us to contribute our knowledge and creativity to our product. Adobe premier was very useful when it came to editing things like Lighting , Non Diegetic Sound and transaction between shots. A

  8. For the soundtrack for our trailer I used Propellerheads reason 5 because in my opinion it’s the best software for producing music. It has built in synthesizer’s, drum machines and samplers that are straight forward and simple to use in making anything from soundtracks to film sound effects. I’ve been using the reason software for 5 years now and found making the soundtrack a quick and simple task. Our mainly responsible for the sound side of the process which meant using my knowledge in this area would hopefully be help to the group the production of our product. Reason 5

  9. The blog was a very big part in our planning and researching because it was a place where we could upload our individual and group work in different categories. Which were, Communication, Editing, Research, Evaluation, Filming, Magazine and Posters. What I found most useful about the blog is that it allowed me to keep my work organized and made it easy to download ay bits I needed when I was at home. Blog

  10. Adobe after effects is a software That’s very useful for creating special effects and is mainly used in the final stages of production. In our case, we used it to make the opening title. We used a free template which we found on YouTube and this helped us a lot in making our trailer have something unique from the beginning to the end. Adobe After Effects
