    5. Uruk III und Djemdet Nasr Die Schicht Uruk III (=Djemdet Nasr) beweist eine Änderung (es wird umgebaut und neue Texte werden gefunden). In Nordmesopotamien, in Syrien, in Anatolien und Iran scheitert die Verbreitung der Uruk-Kultur zugunsten von Lokal-Kulturen. In Südmesopotamien stellt diese Phase den Durchgang zu den ersten sumerischen Dynastien dar.
