Special needs programs are crucial for supporting 13% of students with learning disabilities in the U.S. While these programs enable students to thrive through tailored educational strategies, they are also highly costly and not commonplace across all schools. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) highlights the importance of these initiatives, with a substantial percentage of special needs students benefiting from inclusive settings. However, the high funding requirements and shortages of qualified professionals raise concerns about their effectiveness and sustainability.
