Taking Aim At The Issues (pg 258) • Convenient Commitment • “The Spirit of our age, whether expressed in athletics, business, politics , or marriage, maintains that commitments should be honored only while convenient. When a commitment becomes inconvenient, bag it…Generally speaking, our society believes that only one commitment sounds good: The right to be happy” (pg 81).

It means “always faithful.” Regardless of the cost for the convenience. It means in the 100 yard dash of marriage we don’t run the fifty, sixty or ninety five yard dash. It means we suck it up to the finish-and finish well. 2 Commitments…1)Be Faithful & 2)Burn Our Ships • Why is SemperFi so important to the Marines? • To Marriage?
