Creative Bathers Boxes: A Fun 3D Art Project

In our engaging art project, we transformed simple shoe boxes into vibrant 'Bathers Boxes'. We utilized a variety of materials, including card, paint, and wallpaper, to create stunning backgrounds. To enhance the 3D effect, we incorporated tissue paper, bubble wrap, and crumpled paper, adding depth to our designs. We carefully measured edges and the perimeter to ensure a neat finish. Inspired by George Seurat, we utilized triangles to shape figures representing people enjoying the water. This project was a fantastic blend of creativity and skill!

  1. Creating our ‘Bathers Boxes’.

  2. We used shoe boxes for the surround.

  3. We used card, paint, material and wallpaper for our backgrounds.

  4. We tried to make it look 3d by adding tissue, bubble wrap and screwed up paper to give it depth.

  5. We measured the edges and perimeter to cover the outsides.

  6. We just needed to add the people.

  7. We used triangles to help us get the shape of the people. George Seurat did the same!

  8. We had great fun and used all sorts of skills.
