As part of our planning process at Schreiber High School, we are now entering the vital stage of creating activity steps that will guide us in achieving our educational objectives. After thorough assessments from parents and students, we have formulated specific objectives aimed at enhancing academic performance. Our key focus is on developing activities designed to improve Regents test scores by 2014. Each action plan must include clear, detailed, and feasible steps, ensuring accountability and quantifiable progress towards our goals. Let's work collaboratively to implement these crucial plans for success.

Creating Activity Steps The last stage of the planning process… The next Middle States coordinators
We created objectives. We created action plans to meet those objectives.
Now we must create the activity steps that will guide us towards meeting our objectives and “doing” our action plans.
Each Action Plan Item Needs Activity Steps Objective: By the year 2014 students at Schreiber High School will demonstrate academic improvement by earning an increased number of advanced Regents diplomas, an increase in the number of students achieving mastery on Regents examinations and an increase in enrollment in elective courses. Action Plan Item: Develop activities specifically designed to improve Regents test scores.
Each Implementation Plan Must Have a Series of Detailed Steps Objective: By the year 2014 students at Schreiber High School will demonstrate academic improvement by earning an increased number of advanced Regents diplomas, an increase in the number of students achieving mastery on Regents examinations and an increase in enrollment in elective courses. Action Plan Item: Develop activities specifically designed to improve Regents test scores.
What should we consider when creating our activity steps? • It must be clear. • It must be a detailed. • It must be reasonable and “doable.” • The people tasked to do the plan can do it. • It does not dump responsibility on others. • The step must help accomplish the activity plan and reach the towards the objective. • Accountability is vital. • Progress must be quantifiable. • Whenever possible, structures that exist in schools, like committees and departments, should be responsible for the fulfillment of plan items. With my luck this will be our visiting team chair!!!!
