  1. Conduct,PE, Music, Computers School Year 2012-13 Instructions for input from PowerTeacher

  2. Instructions for input of Conduct, PE, Music and Art grades • There are 2 paths for input of these grades. Choose the path that best suits you. PE, Music and Art grades will be done by Romero, Bryant, and Wenzel. The homeroom teacher no longer has to make those changes. The conduct grades are all done by the homeroom teacher from PowerTeacher. These instructions will walk you through the two paths. • The first path gives you a list of the entire class and ALL 6 of the conduct grades. • The second path is by individual student. • You choose whichever path you like. If you want to input all at the same time, then make individual changes at the student level, you can do that. It is entirely up to you.

  3. Path #1, Entire Class Input • Login in to PowerTeacher. • Select the backpack on the HR1 row of your start page.

  4. At the bottom of the menu pane on the left, you will see Standards Summary (m) Click on the (m). This will give you an input page for the term that lists all students in your homeroom class and all 6 of the grades with an abbreviated column header. If you click on “Standards Summary” you won’t get the input page If your monitor is not very big, this input type is not recommended. You will lose the headers or names.

  5. Valid grade input for these are in the drop down list. These grades include A+,A,B+,E+,E,S+,S,S-,P,U,N. No other grades are valid

  6. Once all your grades are input, click the submit button at the bottom and you are done! If you only get a few of them done, that is fine. Just submit what you have, then come back later and finish. You can go in here and make changes as needed.

  7. Path #2, Individual Student Input • Login in to PowerTeacher. • Select the backpack on the HR1 row of your start page. You may also use these steps to make changes to an individual student once you have completed the input.

  8. Choose student by clicking on student name. • It will default to the student’s Quick Lookup screen. • On The Select Screen drop down list, choose Final Grade Entry. This will take you to the individual student’s Standards input screen.

  9. Valid grade input for these are in the drop down list. These grades include A+,A,B+,E+,E,S+,S,S-,P,U,N. No other grades are valid When finished with input or making changes, click the submit button. There is a new Final Grade Letter option at the top of this input page. You may ignore that letter grade. Just Input the 6 individual entries in the body.

  10. When you click submit, you will get this screen. To go to the next student, click on the FIRST NAME of the next student. This will keep you on the same screen. If you click the LAST NAME, you will get the quick lookup and have to select the Final Grade Entry screen again. Remember, Click on students FIRST NAME to stay in final grade entry screen.

  11. Notes: • You will be given a deadline of when all grades have to be input. This deadline will include all grades in both your GradeBook and all grades in PowerTeacher. • Once I have stored all of these grades, you may print your report cards. Report cards are printed from PowerTeacher. • Select the printer icon on the HR1 row. From the “Which report would you like to print?” drop down menu, select WME Report Card 1112 Trimesters. • If you run this before I store grades, you will get only a partial report card, so wait until the entire process is complete. Default Student Screen: The default student screen for every staff member is set to Quick Lookup. You may change this from the Personalize menu option from the main PowerTeacher screen. Select Personalize / Default Student Screen and select the screen you want to display when you select a student.
